Philosophy of Ministry

The purpose of ministry is to build up men and women of all ages in Christ’s body, through the power of the Holy Spirit in love, so that they may be able to live as disciples; making disciples of all nations. (Ephesians 4:11-12)

COMMUNITY
I desire to be in a place where people will feel loved, connected and receive correction to be built up in their personal relationships with Christ. Creating a sense of family; where they see one another as brothers and sisters. (Acts 2:42-47, Matthew 22:36-39, Matthew 12:48-50) Also, teaching them to exhort one another daily, in and out of church so that they may not fall into sin and temptation. (Hebrews 3:13)
THE BIBLE
I believe the Bible is God’s Holy inspired Word; that everything in it is 100% accurate and true. So, I will strive to live it and teach it as such: teaching the body of believers to study, understand, and apply it to their lives on a day to day basis. (2 Timothy 3:16, 2 Timothy 4:1-5, Deuteronomy 6:6-7, Proverbs 22:6)
WORSHIP
Although music is a good form of worship in which we should worship God through (Psalms 33:2; 96:1; 149:1; 150), I believe that worship goes far beyond songs and applies to our everything we do in life. I want to teach people to worship God in everything they do. (Colossians 3:23, John 4:23-24)
DISCIPLESHIP
I am looking, not so much to build up a congregation, but to train up disciples, those who will live a life devoted to Christ; striving to be like Him in every way, that they may go and make disciples devoted to Christ Jesus (Matthew 28:18-20). I am not looking to fill a bunch of seats with people whom call themselves “Christians” because they go to church and "really enjoy the sermons". (Revelations 3:15-18)
SERVICE
God has called us to be servants, and to humble ourselves before one another. So in response, I will strive to love the church and be a good servant to the church body each and every day. (Matthew 20:25-28) And I want to submit my self to the authority placed over me.
OUTREACH
As I mentioned in the “Discipleship” section, our calling is to make disciples of all nations. And a disciple of Christ is a person walking so close to Jesus that they are recognized for having actions and a life style like His. A disciple should look like Christ and cause others to look like them. (Matthew 5:13-16, Matthew 7:20, 1 Timothy 4:6-16)
